Why Ivans

Carpenters who show up.
Work that holds up.

Six years framing, finishing, and remodeling homes from Aspen to Rifle taught us what valley homeowners and builders actually want: straight answers, clean sites, and work that passes inspection the first time.

  • Framing to Finish

One crew can frame the addition, hang and finish the drywall, lay the floor, and set the trim. Fewer handoffs means fewer gaps in the schedule and nobody blaming the last guy.

  • The Owner Is on Site

Ivan Pena runs every job personally. The person who priced your project is the person swinging the hammer and answering your call.

  • Written Scope Before Work Starts

You get an itemized estimate with materials, labor, and a timeline. Changes get priced in writing before they happen, not on the final invoice.

  • Built for Mountain Conditions

Snow loads, freeze-thaw, high-altitude UV, and a short building season shape how we frame, flash, fasten, and finish. Nothing is built like it's at sea level.

  • Available 24/7

Valley schedules don't stop at five. We take calls around the clock, seven days a week, and work the hours a tight construction window demands.

  • Clean Sites, Every Day

Materials stacked, cutoffs bagged, and tools packed up nightly. On a remodel you're living in, that matters as much as the finish work.

How It Works

From first call to final walkthrough

A simple four-step process, so you always know what happens next and who's responsible for it.

1

Call or Send Details

Tell us what you're building. We'll ask the right questions, then schedule a site visit that fits your calendar, evenings and weekends included.

2

Site Visit & Written Estimate

We measure, check existing conditions, and send an itemized estimate with materials, labor, and a realistic timeline. New clients take $500 off.

3

The Build

Our own crew does the work on the schedule we agreed to, with the owner on site and materials staged before the first cut.

4

Walkthrough & Sign-Off

We walk the finished work with you, fix anything on the punch list, and only then send the final invoice.

Our Promise

We stand behind every board we set.

A new company has one thing to protect: its name. Every Ivans Construction project is backed by a written workmanship warranty, and if something we built or installed isn't right after we leave, we come back and make it right. That's the whole policy, and it's how we'd want it done on our own homes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

We're based in Basalt and work the whole Roaring Fork Valley and I-70 corridor: Aspen, Snowmass Village, Old Snowmass, Basalt, Willits, El Jebel, Carbondale, Redstone, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, and Gypsum. Somewhere nearby that isn't listed? Call (970) 401-1827 and ask.

Mention it when you request your estimate. First-time clients get $500 off the written price of their first project. There's no minimum trick or fine print, it's simply how we introduce ourselves to new homeowners and builders in the valley.

Yes. We frame, side, finish, and hang drywall as a subcontractor for builders across the valley, and we work directly with homeowners on decks, fences, pergolas, flooring, and remodels. Either way you get the same written scope and the same crew.

We take calls and messages around the clock, seven days a week, and we'll work the hours a tight schedule needs, including early starts and weekends. If it's 10 PM and you want to talk about a project, call.

Your written estimate includes a start date and a finish date. Mountain projects live and die by the building season, so we order materials before demo, sequence trades tightly, and tell you honestly if weather or inspections move a date.

We build to code and coordinate with the building department for the work we do. Pitkin, Eagle, and Garfield counties each have their own rules, and Aspen and Snowmass have design review on top of that, so we flag what your project will need during the estimate.

Every project carries our written workmanship warranty. If something we built or installed fails under normal use, we come back and fix it at no cost.
